#boza : El corto de nuestra querida Séverine Sajous junto a Anna Surinyach  dentro de la seleccion oficial del Festival de Cine de Malaga.

Gracias al #festivaldemalaga por dejar espacio a un cine inclusivo tanto para el colectivo como para la creación de nuevas narrativas.

#boza, a film about people on the move from the African continent to Europe. In first person narrative and using videos and Selfies, Alhassane, Aminata, Mamadou, Mariam and Yahya tell their journeys and their goal of making “boza”. A word of disputed origin and exact meaning, “boza” is used by those trying to cross this particular border to describe the goal, and the act of successful crossing. The film #boza removes all filters, becoming a collective Selfie on migration.

«Fajara» means “explosion” in Arabic. In the «Jungle» of Calais, where migrants and refugees from different parts of the world camp in hope of one day reaching the United Kingdom through the Euro Tunnel, the word has and expanded meaning. «Farjara» means «to get through» or «to make it to the other side».

«Password: Fajara» is a haunting short film made by Severine Sajous & Patricia Sanchez which explores the migrant experience through the creation of a new vocabulary, a phantom meaning of words and sounds.

Chris Blakey, known for his work with Richard Fearless & Death in Vegas, teamed up with Sajous to write the original music score for «Password: Fajara».

Blakey transforms the sounds, interviews and songs recorded by Sajous during her extended stay in the «Jungle» into four, forward-thinking, cyclical, and immersive pieces. The melancholic melodies and powerful industrial sounds and breaks that Blakey has created bring to life the images of people in movement – «Fajara»; the infrared images of where they live – «Jungle»; the threat of being caught by the Police – «Abbas»; and the human traffic jams – «Dougar».

Password: Fajara (OST) is the third reference of the label .

The vinyl collector’s version is limited to 50 numbered copies. The cover is 300gr black cardboard decorated with handmade printed artwork.

Bogotrax 2020 es una matriz. Es la matriz múltiple de un micelio. Una red en continua expansión. Sus florescencias surgen en el encuentro (entre hifas). Ese es el experimento : entretejer una red de complicidades en la que gestores y público, actores y espectadores participan conjuntamente en la producción de un espacio social, un laboratorio temporal que trabaja directamente sobre lo social-imaginario. Por ejemplo sometiendo lo que se entiende como “festival” a prueba. Si Bogotrax como festival sucede entonces en un lugar y en un momento preciso (en Bogotá del 13 al 23 de Febrero del 2020), como colectivo, tiende íntimamente a convertirse en un territorio invisible, en un micelio capaz de conectar bosques y ciudades, selvas y veredas, colectivos e individualidades, a través del arte y la música, la ciencia y la apropiación social de la tecnología ; el activismo, el haktivismo, la ecología y los conocimientos ancestrales.

No es solo la metáfora de la raíz la que dirige el transito hacía un nuevo ciclo. Es de nuevo el micelio el que facilita la comunicación del tejido horizontal. El micelio es un tejido horizontal. Es el encuentro de dos o más trayectos (hifas) que se conectan, se multiplican y florecen. Sus capacidades de transformación bioquímicas son asombrosas.
